Peanut Butter Causes Salmonella Outbreak

Posted on January 19th, 2009 No Comments

A recent salmonella outbreak that spans 43 states and has affected over 470 people has been linked to peanut butter. The Peanut Corp facility that is located in Blakely, GA has been indicated in the outbreak.

In response, Peanut Corp has issued a recall of all products that contain peanut butter or peanut paste.  While Peanut Corp does not sell peanut butter directly to consumers, it is in many different products of many different companies that are easily accessible in the grocery store.

If you or someone you know has contracted salmonella from peanut butter, contact the Jacksonville personal injury lawyers of The Law Offices of Donald Guthrie at 904-296-1088.
