A woman from Southside claims that her neighbor's pit bulls attacked and killed her 15 year old cat and 5 month old dog. She says that the dogs have been a danger for quite some time.

The dogs apparently attacked her pets, and when her 8 year old son tried to help, the dogs turned on him. Unfortunately, the police cannot do anything until the woman has witness accounts on the attack.

A school bus returning children home from private school, Foundation, was rear ended by a driver while letting children off. The crash occurred on Beach Blvd on Monday afternoon.

There were about 20 children on the bus at the time of the crash. The bus did have its flashing lights on when the car rear ended it. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the accident. The driver recieved a ticket.

A crash on Buckman Bridge took the life of an Orange Park man very early on Sunday morning. A Ford Expedition rear ended the disabled vehicle that the man was sitting in on the bridge's northbound emergency lane.

The driver of the expedition suffered minor injuries that did not require hospitalization. The passengers of the disabled vehicle, however, had to be taken to Shands Jacksonville with some injuries.

A recent salmonella outbreak that spans 43 states and has affected over 470 people has been linked to peanut butter. The Peanut Corp facility that is located in Blakely, GA has been indicated in the outbreak.

In response, Peanut Corp has issued a recall of all products that contain peanut butter or peanut paste.  While Peanut Corp does not sell peanut butter directly to consumers, it is in many different products of many different companies that are easily accessible in the grocery store.

At 5:15pm on Wednesday, a motorcyclist was rear ended by a jaguar, throwing him off of his motorcycle and into the car in front of him. The accident is still under investigation, but the driver may have been intoxicated at the time.

The motorcyclist was killed by the accident. The driver was uninjured and was arrested after becoming combative with the police during the field sobriety test.

A Jacksonville man was killed while riding his bicycle. The bicycle ran across the path of a police cruiser that was on its way to a call and was flashing its lights. The collision occurred on Myrtle and ninth just west of I-95.

The police cruiser was headed southbound on Myrtle when the cyclist rode in front of him. According to the officer driving the cruiser, the cyclist did not have a green light or right of way. The cyclist was taken to Shands Jacksonville Hospital, and later died there.
