What Should You Do After A Car Accident?

A Teen From Winter Haven Killed in Accident, One Critically Injured

Posted on February 9th, 2009 No Comments

Early Sunday morning around 2:30 a.m.  in Winter Haven, Florida sheriff deputies discovered a serious car accident.   The vehicle was a 1991 Nissan Pathfinder SUV.  The vehicle was found over turned and had struck a power line.

A sixteen year old girl was found near the vehicle.  Officers had to pull her away from the vehicle because they feared it would explode after a fire had started.  The sheriffs were told by the girl that there was another person in the car when the accident occurred.  The sheriffs  found another victim, a 17 year old female, who had been ejected nearly 50 yards from the vehicle.  The emergency crews airlifted her to the Tampa General Hospital,  where she then died from the injuries.

The accident is currently under investigation.  Little is known what caused it or who was even driving.
