The driver who was involved in an March 2004 accident is in court right now facing several charges.  The driver, Joshua D. Hay, may face several charges related to an accident that killed an elderly man and severely injured an elderly woman.

Mr. Hay was said to have been going over 120 miles per hour in his Ford Mustang when he struck the elderly couple, who were just leaving church.  Other drivers on the road recall at the trial that the Ford Mustang was driving at excessive speeds while on the road. The high speeds occurred on a road where the speed limit was 55 miles per hour.  Mr. Hay originally told investigators that he was travelling around 65 miles per hour,  but analysis of the crash scene put his speed much higher.

Mr. Hay could face several years in prison as a result of the accident.  New records also show that since the accident,  Mr. Hay has had several traffic citations including not wearing a seat belt and reckless driving.
