Two Die While Trying to Cross U.S. Highway at Night

Two pedestrians were killed Friday before midnight.  The two male victims, ages 48 and 51,  were struck by a vehicle and killed as they tried to cross U.S. Highway 17 on foot.. 

The victims were attempting to cross the highway when they were struck by a 2003 Oldsmobile.  The two victims were struck in the center lane of the highway.  One victim was flung to the left side of the highway, the other to the right side. 

The individuals inside the car were not injured in the accident.  The case is being investigated and no charges have been filed.
