An accident on Interstate 10 has been fatal for one man.  The accident occurred Sunday afternoon as the driver was driving to avoid hitting another car that was changing lanes.

According to a spokesman for the Florida Highway Patrol,  the driver was trying to swerve to avoid hitting another car.  The other car was making a lane change,   which caused the driver of the car to swerve hard and drive in the median.  The driver was in the median shortly before hitting a concrete tower.  

The driver was 66 years-old and died at the scene of the accident.  A passenger was in the car as well, a 65 year-old woman. The woman passenger was injured and is in critical condition.  

The accident caused delays as emergency officials responded to the scene and an investigation was conducted.

A recent Florida accident that left 3 football players dead has been making national news.  The accident was responsible for the death of 2 former NFL players and a former University of South Florida football player. 

The state has released a report that details the information and findings that has been collected about the accident so far.   Some of the important information in the report is that 3 of the 4 men were drinking when the accident occurred and the emergency equipment on the boat was not adequate.  The use of the groups cell phones also did not work because the boaters were not close enough to a signal. The group also tried to use flares at one point, but were unsuccessful.

Hypothermia was a big factor in this,  causing many of the people to be unable to carry on and separate the boat.  The lone survivor spent nearly two days clinging to the boat before being found.  He was suffering from hypothermia and contusions.

A crash occurred on Wednesday afternoon involving a pickup truck and an SUV. The crash took place on County Road 315A at Wells Road before 2pm.

The drivers of the two vehicles were trapped and had to be extracted and another person was lying on the ground. All three were taken to Shands Jacksonville with undisclosed extent of injury.

The police department in Panama City, Florida have found a car that is suspected in a fatal hit and run that occurred early Tuesday morning. The accident happened on 15th street as a female Panama City resident was walking to a trolley.  The person killed was said to have a house near the scene of the accident.

Although the vehicle involved in this fatal hit and run accident has been found, no suspects have yet been named.  A captain of the police department stated that more details will be released soon.

A crash was early reported on this site about a speeding police officer crashing into a truck.  A man in the truck hit by the police officer was killed by the impact of the crash.  The officer was said to be speeding over 90 miles per hour in the attempt to catch a suspect with tinted windows.

The family of the man that lost his life has notified the city that they are planning to file a lawsuit.  The letter asked for any available evidence and information about the accident.  The Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.  More details should be released at a later date.

A 16 year-old teenage boy visiting Florida with his parents has fallen to his death in an unfortunate Spring Break accident. The teen and his family were Daytona Beach. 

The accident occurred early Sunday morning when the boy fell from the 24th story of the Ocean Walk Resort.  

It is unknown what caused the fall.  Little details are known or have yet been released.  Police are investigating if alcohol or drugs were involved at all.  The full investigation by authorities should be completed with an official report released.
