A tour bus filled with senior citizens was struck by a car on Monday afternoon, killing two passengers and critically injuring three others. The bus had been chartered to transport the people on a tour of "Old Florida" when it was involved in the collision while heading north on Route 27. According to authorities, the car failed to yield to the bus, and instead collided with it, sending the bus onto the shoulder, where it overturned.

Two individuals were injured in an accident on North Jackson at around 12:40 p.m. on Thursday. According to authorities, the occupants of the vehicle were an elderly couple who were still conscious at the scene, but were transferred to a local hospital for medical attention. Eyewitnesses say that the couple's older-model Buick sedan swerved suddenly off the road before striking a telephone pole. A Jacksonville man is in critical condition today after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street shortly after 9:00 a.m. yesterday. The victim was leaving a doctor's office and was crossing the street at Hershel and Goodwin Street in Riverside, when he was struck by a driver who was later arrested for driving on a suspended license. Authorities believe the driver did not see the pedestrian crossing the street until it was too late to maneuver out of the way.

A father and son were seriously injured when their small boat crashed into the dock after dark in the last week of January. The 35-year-old father took his 4-year-old son and two other adults on a boat ride, but soon realized it was too dark to be safe. Reports say that he turned his boat around to go back, but had trouble navigating back to the dock, even though he wasn't far from it when he decided to turn around. He struck the dock going approximately 20 miles per hour.

Officials for the Jacksonville Independent School District issued a statement regarding a school bus crash that occured on Monday at 4:00 p.m. on Loop 456. According to the statement, school officials believe that inclement weather contributed to the accident, as well as driver error and inattention. The driver of the school bus did not have any accidents on his record prior to the incident, officials claim.
