What Should You Do After A Car Accident?

Train collides with tow truck

Posted on April 9th, 2010 No Comments

In an ironic twist, a train engine pulling an Operation Lifesaver caboose struck a tow truck as the truck crossed the train tracks. Operation Lifesaver is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting railway-crossing safety. The accident occured around 1:15 p.m. on Thursday in the 9200 block of North Main Street.

The intersection does not have a crossing arm, but there is a sign warning motorists to beware approaching trains. The tow truck driver was taken to Shands Jacksonville hospital with non-critical injuries. No one in the train engine was injured.
