What Should You Do After A Car Accident?

Old tire causes single-vehicle accident on I 95

A single-vehicle accident occurred Monday on Interstate 95 and County Road 206.  According to Florida Highway Patrol officers, the vehicle had a defective rear tire that separated and caused the driver to lose control.

33-year old Jose J. Corral from DeLand was traveling south on his 1999 Ford Explorer on I-95 when the vehicle's rear passengers-side tire split.  Corral lost control of the car and veered off the highway before the car flipped over a ten foot tall fence.  Four of the vehicle's five passengers were ejected in the accident.

Two of the passengers had to be airlifted to Halifax Hospital in Daytona and the other three were taken to nearby hospitals.
