What Should You Do After A Car Accident?

Dalai Lama’s nephew killed in pedestrian accident

Posted on February 16th, 2011 No Comments

Monday, the Dalai Lama’s nephew, 45-year old Jigme K. Norbu, was killed in a tragic pedestrian accident in Florida.  Norbu was taking part in a 300-mile walk in honor of the 50th anniversary of Tibet’s failed rebellion against China and to promote Tibet’s current fight for independence.  Norbu’s family said that he had participated in more than 21 walks and bike rides for Tibet’s freedom covering around 7,800 miles.

Norbu was struck by a vehicle at dusk on an unlighted portion of coastal highway AIA in West Palm Beach.  Friends say that Norbu was wearing tennis shoes with reflectors and a big white sign over his chest and back.  The driver of the SUV that struck Norbu was traveling southbound on the highway, as was Norbu.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Norbu’s family and friends during this difficult time.
