What Should You Do After A Car Accident?

Florida has the highest number of boating accidents

Posted on July 13th, 2011 No Comments

Last year, Florida had more boating accidents than any other state in the country.  In 2010, there were 668 boating accidents in the state.

However, the number of boating accidents has decreased over the past few years.  In 2004, there were 743 boating accidents in Florida.

An officer with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said of boating accidents, “Drinking and boating carries the same penalties as driving a vehicle.  Most of our accidents are caused by carelessness.”

FWCC authorities recommend always paying attention to your surroundings and wearing life jackets when boating.  In addition, experts say that it is a good idea to carry a cellphone and check the weather before going boating.
