Posted on July 28th, 2011 No Comments

On Thursday, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission released a report on the Fischer Price Little People Builders’ Load ‘n Go plastic wagon and building blocks.  The report says that the toy’s yellow plastic handle poses a laceration hazard to children.

Subsequently, Mattel issued a voluntary recall of the children’s product.  The Little People Builders’ Load ‘n Go wagon and building block set was sold in stores across the U.S. from June 2009 to July 2011.  The recall includes about 208,000 wagon and block sets.

The toy’s manufacturer has received 7 injury reports involving children cutting themselves after falling on the wagon’s handle.  5 of the injuries required treatment involving stitches or surgical glue.
