What Should You Do After A Car Accident?

Lawsuits filed on behalf of Indianapolis stage collapse victims

Posted on August 30th, 2011 No Comments

The first of many expected premises liability lawsuits concerning the stage collapse at the Indiana State Fairgrounds were recently filed.

The stage collapsed when wind blew the stage’s roof and metal scaffolding fell on several event workers and concert attendees.  7 people were killed and 40 people were injured in the collapse in Indianapolis.

Allegations have been made that the stage was constructed without any permits or inspections.  The accident is prompting investigations into safety regulations at outdoor music venues.

One of the lawsuits states that event organizers at the fairgrounds “did not reasonably exercise due care in the design, set-up, configuration, layout and construction of the concert stage area.”
