Gail Gardner Bachmann, 71 of Jacksonville, was killed in a car accident on Friday that sent her car spinning and flipping after Erika Kristine Culbreth, 37, of Jacksonville, collided with her vehicle.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Culbreth, who was driving in the middle lane of Belfort Road, tried to pass Bachmann who was driving in the left lane, and the rear of the driver’s side of Culbreth’s vehicle hit Bachmann forcing her into the concrete barrier in the middle of Butler Boulevard and also flipping her car.

Bachmann was pronounced dead at the scene, and Culbreth and her passenger were rushed to Shands Jacksonville hospital.
