What Should You Do After A Car Accident?

Ft. Lauderdale jury convicts teen of aggravated battery

Posted on June 21st, 2012 No Comments

Three years ago, a Fort Lauderdale teenager orchestrated a plan with two others to set his classmate on fire. The plan was carried out, and the victim suffered serious burns to more than half of his entire body.

After years of physical rehabilitation, the victim is now working on the emotional rehabilitation that has accompanied his injuries. The teen responsible for this vicious attack has been behind bars for the last three years awaiting his fate. A Fort Lauderdale jury decided to convict him of a lesser charge in the case, aggravated battery.

He now faces a maximum of 15 years in prison for the crime he committed. The other two teens that were involved in the implementation of the crime pleaded no contest to their charges, and were sentenced to eight and 11 years in prison for their involvement.
