Animal Attacks Preventable with Proper Pet Ownership

by Administrator 23. October 2009 02:33

Pet ownership is a major responsibility.  It involves carefully raising and training an animal to be socially adjusted to its environment and the people around it.  Unfortunately,  many pet owners do not take the proper steps to ensure that their animal is well adjusted.  This can be seen when an animal attacks another individual without provocation.  This type of aggressive behavior is most commonly seen with dogs of aggressive nature such as pit bulls and other breeds.

Some pet owners will adopt an aggressive animal and will not take the necessary steps to control the animal or restrain it.  This negligent behavior can lead to serious injuries to individuals if they are attacked by the animal.  Serious injuries from bites and scratches have left many individuals with wounds and injuries that are permanent in some cases.   If a pet attacks another individual,  the pet owner must face the consequences for failing to control and properly restrain their animal.

If you have been injured by a dog or other animal, you may deserve compensation from the animal's owner. Contact Jacksonville dog bite attorney Donald Guthrie at 904-493-6455 for more information.
