13 deaths linked to listeria bacteria from cantaloupes

Recent reports state that 13 deaths have now been linked to a listeria outbreak from cantaloupe produced at the Jensen melon farm in Colorado.  72 people in 18 states have also reported becoming ill with listeriosis linked to the recalled cantaloupes. People have become ill from the Colorado cantaloupes in Florida and 17 other states.  [...]

Cucumber recall issued for possible salmonella contamination

A Raleigh, North Carolina produce company recently issued a recall on cucumbers for possible salmonella contamination.  L & M Companies distributed the 1,590 bulk containers of the recalled product to retailers in Florida, Texas, Illinois, Tennessee, Indiana, Mississippi, Wyoming, and Nebraska.
