Dogs Accused of Biting People Impounded

by Administrator 8. August 2008 08:08
Two dogs that have allegedly bitten people, each in a separate incident, in the town of Sterling, VA have been found and impounded. They are being called a pit bull and a pit bull mix, although these two breeds are often misidentified. One of the dogs has allegedly bitten a woman while she was walking, the other is accused of biting a man who was jogging through the neighborhood. The owners of the dogs and the bite victims will all testify at a hearing on August 27. State law says that a dog who attacks a person or a pet will be declared "dangerous," unless the court determines that the dog will probably not attack again. For example, a dog that attacks only when threatened would not be considered dangerous. If you have been bitten by a dog with a negligent owner, you could be able to regain your losses.
