The Florida Highway Patrol as well as the Panama City Beach police are investigating an accident that occurred early Tuesday morning. The accident occurred around 6:45 a.m. on Black Beach Road.  After the accident Tuesday morning,  Black Beach Road was at stand still traffic.

Emergency medical services responded to the accident upon receiving notification.   After arriving on the scene,  paramedics took one female accident victim to a local area hospital to be treated for her injuries.  The female victim's car was totaled, with nearly the entire back portion of the car smashed off.  

The two individuals involved in the crash do not have life threatening injuries and are expecting to recover.
